Pages crashes when saving...

Further to the posted problem, it seems that most, but not all apps are having difficulty with saving. Text Edit seems OK but not BBEdit. I will need to confirm this but LibreOffice is crashing (endless loop actually, so I do command-option-Esc to exit) although as with the others, the documents do actually seem to save. iCloud is on but iCoud Drive is now off.

OK, just started using Text Edit and that doesn't save properly either : (

I saved a new document, continued editing it, pressed command-s and it hangs :... (
