Sure you can, but one TV at a time. Then the Apple TV will substitute the ‘smart’ (internet-connected) functionality with its own. Every HDTV with HDMI should work.
Remote was using to scroll on bottom instead of top perhaps better instructions.

Thank you for your help I agree Apple support is the best I felt so stupid with remote using the bottom
part when we need to use top gosh was I dumb or what Thanks to all for your help
