I phone 7 home button suddenly stopped vibrating/clicking

Hi

suddenly this afternoon the home button has stopped making a noise/ clicking when I touch it.

Its still working but I’m a bit worried why this has suddenly stopped.

has anyone any idea how I get it working again I’ve gone thorough settings and on the page where you choose sound 1,2, or 3 nothing happens either
