Question: View MacBook Pro on 5K iMac display?

Hello,

At the moment I'm using a Late 2015 5K Retina iMac

and soon I want to buy my first MacBook Pro.

Would it be possible to use my iMac as a "large Display" for the MacBook Pro?

Maybe via HDMI/adapter? Which resolution could I get?

Thank you.

macOS Sierra (10.12.6)

Answer:

sorry, No.

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2014) and later iMac models can't be used as Target Display Mode displays.
