Apple TV Sound Stops All of a Sudden

sometimes the sound is cut off and I need to shut down tv and apply tv to get it back, the restart does not even help.

My apple TV stops and goes black when I adjust the volume via my receiver Has anyone had this problem? How have you fixed it?
