my charged iPhone 6s is 100% but the icon is yellow

That means that Low Power mode is turned on. It won't activate until 20%, but you can turn it off here, Settings>Battery

You've set your phone to Low Power Mode. To get it back to green go to Settings > Battery and turn off Low Power Mode
