One person had success deleting the account from System Preferences/Internet Accounts and adding it back. That hasn't worked for others. I am beginning to think this is a Facebook problem.

Thanks Eric. I deleted the account but it won't let me add it again. I get a could not validate flag. I checked and double checked my login credentials for FB and even changed my password for FB but still get the cannot validate flag.
My solution is to leave the account deleted, not sure why I even need that account in "Internet Accounts" as accessing FB through the browser is working fine.
You are welcome. Others have suggested clicking on the question mark and using Report a problem to let Facebook know there is a problem.
