Can't access Apple ID
My cousin's husband has died. She can not access his iPhone because she does not know password or hints. If she signs on with a totally new Apple ID will she lose the content currently on the phone?

She needs to get the old Apple ID removed from the phone or she may have problems in the future.
Have her take the device, the original purchase receipt, a copy of the death certificate, a copy of the marriage license, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store.
or contact Apple ID Support. They will need to see the receipt also.
