full in storage and could not accept importing photos anymore

Hi, I would like to ask on certain things. I tried importing my iphone7 photos to my macbook but it said that I does not have enough memory. How is this possible? Never encounter such incident my entire lifetime while importing photos.

iphone7 photos importing to macbook but it is somehow full in storage and could not accept importing photos anymore. I tried importing to iphotos, I took me forever.

if your computers storage is full you need to free up some space by deleting things you don't use

or move your photo lib to an external hd
