Why am I not receiving all my messages on my synced monthly service paid iPad

I purchased my first iPhone a year and half ago. At that time, I purchased an iPad and they have been synced up until yesterday. It is no longer allowing me to see all my messages. Including Android users texts. Help! I pay $20/month for my ipad through At&t but they are not syncing all my messages. Help please!

Text (SMS) messages do not sync, and never have. You can set up forwarding to your iPad from your iPhone, but the messages must first be received on the iPhone; this is not the same as syncing. If you set up forwarding you can also reply to SMS messages from your iPad.


To verify that forwarding is set up see: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204681 and go to the section on SMS and MMS.


You can set up your iPad to receive and send iMessages to other Apple devices. Go to Settings/Messages on the iPad.
