Not only did my iphone x not charge, but it also got extremely hot from wireless charger.

So last night, I got home late and went straight to bed. I remember my phone was around 12-15% when I placed it onto my wireless charging pad. 8 hours later, I found my phone to be boiling hot, hotter than usual. When I looked at my phone percentage, it was at 12%. I think it is the wireless charger that is at fault, but I am still concerned about the battery health of my phone. Thanks
