I can't login on imessage and facetime using my new apple id

Please help, I cannot log in on imessage or facetime using my new apple id that I created. Is there something I am doing wrong? Please advise.

I understand you are having difficulty logging into FaceTime or iMessage with your new Apple ID. Did you edit your Apple ID to reflect a new email address? Or, did you create a completely new Apple ID?
The resources below will explain what to do after you make changes to an Apple ID. Then you may want to close the applications and restart your computer before trying to log in with the new Apple ID and password.
