Part 1. Why iPhone Won't Backup to iCloud?

There are several reasons to explain why iPhone won't backup to iCloud, you can check the following aspects:

2. iCloud backup feature is turned off on iPhone settings. If so, you should turn on iCloud backup on iPhone.

3. iPhone needs to be plugged to a workable power source. If so, simply plug iPad device to an available power source.

4. iCloud storage is not enough for the backup. If so, you should delete old iCloud backup for new backup files.

Above all, what you should do firstly is to make sure you have connected to a strong Wi-Fi network. To get a better signal, you'd better go closer to the router - the Wi-Fi source.

Then you need to check if the iCloud storage of your account is available for a new backup:

- Go to Settings > iCloud > sign into iCloud accountwith Apple ID and passcodes > Storage to check the available iCloud storage.

- Go to Manage Storage > Backup, iCloud will help you estimate the size of the next iCloud backup so that you can know if you have enough available iCloud storage for creating a new iCloud backup.

- If there is no enough iCloud storage for the next backup, you can choose Delete Backup option to free up room for next backup or make a smaller backup by selecting less contents to backup.

Or you can also buy more iCloud storage: Settings > Sign in with Apple ID > iCloud > Storage > Manage Storage > Change Storage Plan.
