Your system takes up about 9 gb of my 16 gb storage, it there any way to increase the storage on my phone or at least make it so the system doesn't take up so much space? Btw your support system is useless I have been trying to figure this out for the last hour and your phone number doesn't help at all

You don't have to back up to iCloud. You can also back up to your computer using iTunes.

I recommend you do that, then restore your phone from that back up.

In that case the answer is that you need to go and buy a new phone that has more storage. The least that is available now is 32gb and most offer 64gb, which is perfectly adequate for the running of the phone and everything else you need.

Go to iCloud make sure iCloud back up is on Then backup now over your wifi.
Then go to settings down to reset Reset network settings After reset enter your router wireless key.
Upgrade to a 64G 128G when you can.

The thing sis though I can't spend any money, I've already setup icloud via wifi and to some extent that makes thing worse and in regards to a new phone, that's just to expensive espicially in regards to iphone, I mean I appreciate the help but still that costs a lot of money
The good news is that it did reduce some of the system, the bad news is that everything needs to be reloaded and I got a constant message saying storage is full when I have about 2 gbs spare (and yes only 2gbs that's all I can really hope for these days)
Tell me something I don't know the issue is a new phone costs to much and this is the iphone 6 s plus so I don't really want to go lower than that and I did try but every time I did it would come up with a message saying it needs a password which it never gives me a option to put in, on the bright side it's got down a gb but the storage message is still there so 50/50
I'm afraid neither is possible. You may be able to remove some added-on apps to save a bit of space.
That's impossible, I literally delete everything that I don't need, if I delete anything more I literally won't have any use for the phone

Do what Idris suggested. Back up your phone, then restore from your backup and system storage will be reduced.
Did you restore from the backup you made? Either way, you really do sound like a great candidate for a newer phone with more storage. 16GB is woefully inadequate in today's world.

Yeah went from 9 to 10 but somewhere along the line when I was redownloading my apps it went back to 9, going to istore this week, I honestly don't know what's wrong with this thing
