Is this MacBook Pro's normal fan speed?

Hello!

Sometimes the fan on my MacBook Pro runs loud which I can hear when working.

I've checked with SMCFancontrol, it says my Mac's temp is around 45-60 degree C and the fan speed always between 3000 and 4000 rpm, sometimes 5000.

I just open Chrome (with 2 or 3 tabs), Word, Photoshop CC, an external monitor (Full HD) connected with 2 Chrome windows at split view. When I do some heavier task (editing with Photoshop, watch YouTube video, listening to music, etc) while using Chrome and Word, the fan even runs between 6000 and 7000 rpm.

I've done SMC but nothing happen.

Is this the normal fan speed in this condition? I've had the fan replacement 2 weeks ago, I don't think the fan will be broken again.

Your Mac runs its fans in a feedback loop based on measured temperatures at various places inside the computer.

There is also a fail-safe: If the software fails to set a slower fan speed (if its crashes) the fans will run at their Maximum speed.

Your description sounds like your Mac fans are working as designed.

Chrome is a resource hog. If you want less fan noise, take a look at newer versions of Safari and the new Firefox. Either would be less resource-intensive and faster than Chrome.
