Photos from my iphone not fully showing in Photo

This has been happening to me several times since the iCloud photos come about. I have taken over 1000 photos with my iPhone7 recently and only 166 of them showed up on my Photos as New Photos to be uploaded!

Anyone could help please?

I have MY PHOTOS STREAM checked as I don't have enough memory space in iCloud to use that option.

My OS is High Sierra version.

My Photos is Version 3.0

My iPhone is iPhone 7, OS version 11.3.1

On my iPhone, iCloud Photo Library is checked. I am afraid to uncheck it in case all the photos disappear as seem to be what the message is telling me if i were to uncheck it. Also Upload to My Photo Stream is checked.

Help?
