Repeated simultaneous crash in Notes/Mail/Calendar/Contacts/Messages

Hello everyone,

I am running OSX El Capitan on my mid-2009 Macbook Pro--the latest version it supports.

I am having repeated problems/crashes in Mail, Notes, Contacts, Calendar and Messages, always simultaneously. The symptoms are that Mail is unable to check for or send messages, all my events seem to disappear from Calendar, and Notes/Messages/Contacts crash outright (or refuse to start). This is sometimes associated with a crash in other programs (LibreOffice for example). The problem is fixed by logging out and logging in again. However, it happens multiple times per day and keeps leading to lost work.

The problems began after I wiped my hard drive and did a clean install of OSX from a USB key (which I have done periodically in the past, always without problems, to keep my old laptop running as fast as possible). Unable to find an answer for the problem, I did *another* wipe and clean install only to have the same thing begin happening again! I'm stumped.

I have wondered if this might have something to do with OSX internet account management, which would affect all these programs. If it's of any use, my Calendar and Contacts sync with Google, Notes and Messages sync with iCloud, and Mail has a Google account and several Exchange accounts.

Thanks for any ideas you might have.

Try running this program in your normal user account, then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy Report” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. You can run the report for free at least once, but if you run it several times, at some point it will ask you to pay a license fee.
