P2 import audio channel issues (bump from locked discussion)

There's a locked discussion from last April about FCPX spanning ch1 audio to all 4 channels when importing a long (>5 min) clip from a P2 card...you can view it here. As an update, I've contacted our Panasonic rep hoping that if Apple hears from them it'll get more attention than if a user contacts them. This was before NAB (early April). I sent him the file I mentioned in the post hoping he'd show it to his engineers to see if they can figure it out and tell Apple, but I've only heard from him once, and that was 2 weeks ago saying he hasn't had a chance to look at it yet.
