Just wondering if anyone knows a way to import only the songs you want from a selected CD instead of having to import them all.
want to take some songs from several CD's and make just one CD of my selected songs and there doesn't seem to be a way to import just one or two songs from a CD.
I just mount the CD, then drag the song title from the right-hand window to a playlist (that list pops out when you drag to it). You can also uncheck the songs on the CD you don't want to import, then import the CD (and only the checked songs will be imported).

As much as I have searched I find no way to either check nor un-check any particular song. I am only given two choices either import or cancel and when I hit import it starts importing all the songs on that CD. I have tried the first option you mention but when I try to burn the list it only burns whichever song is selected.

I'm using iTunes 12.7.4 and macOS 10.13.4 on a mid-2011 mini.
When I put an audio CD into the CD drive, the iTunes window shows the contents of the CD. The display has six columns (as I currently have it set up). The first column gives track numbers, the second column is headed by a checkmark and is composed of boxes which can be checked or unchecked. Then Name, Artist, Album, and Genre. Other than the first two, you can add, delete, and reorder the columns. Checking or unchecking the boxes in the column headed by a checkmark affects which songs are acted on when you click the "Import CD" button in the upper right of the window.
I can't immediately think of a reason why iTunes would only burn the first song in a playlist, I'm afraid.

If you don't have a column of checkboxes, go to Preferences > General, and enable "List View Checkboxes."
Thank you I had already found this. I am new to Mac and everything is different from WMP. That check box is just there and you don't need to hunt for it. Again thanks.
