Got rejected by the App Store because of metadata "Specifically, the screenshots on iPad 12.9” showed the screenshots on iPhone."
I submitted my app to the App Store a few weeks ago. I had a version for iOS and iPad. It got approved and I later pulled it because of some bugs I found.
I submitted it again, got approved and found some more bugs so I pulled it again.
I decided to set up Search Ads and rearranged the App Store metadata images I used for the iPhone and iPad for eg.
If I initially had:
iPhone-
image1, image2, image3, image4, image5, image6, image7, image8, image9, image10
iPad-
image1, image2, image3, image4, image5, image6, image7, image8, image9, image10
I resubmitted the same exact images in this order:
iPhone-
image8, image9, image10, image1, image2, image3, image4,image5
iPad-
image6, image7, image8, image9, image1, image2, image3, image4, image5
I now got a rejection of:
"Guideline 2.3.3 - Performance - Accurate Metadata We noticed that your screenshots do not sufficiently reflect your app in use."
Guideline 2.3.3 - Performance - Accurate Metadata
We noticed that your screenshots do not sufficiently reflect your app in use.
Specifically, the screenshots on iPad 12.9” showed the screenshots on iPhone.
They are the same exact images. I changed the initial order from the iPhone and removed 2 images. They don't seem to complain about that. However I removed 1 image from the iPad and changed the order there and now they're saying the iPad shows the iPhone in use? I have no idea what that means because 4 of the 9 iPad images are in SplitScreen mode which the iPhone can't achieve (iPhone is portrait only). The other 5 images are just the iPad version in use. Those images are the same exact images from the iPhone but larger. Those are also all the same images I used the first 2 times I got accepted.
What are they complaining about?
