Wi-Fi does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet

“Wi-Fi does not have an IP address and cannot connect to the internet“ message under wi-if status in network preferences. Tried renewing DHVP lease, deleting aireport passwords from keychain, restarting, shutdown & restart. Still unable to connect to my wi-go network. Phone, iPad, and wife’s laptop all connect. Any ideas?

Is the message on your MacBook Air?

I presume it has been working well.. what changed?

Anything new in the network or update on the computer?

Did you use the computer elsewhere on a different wifi connection and then it failed when you returned it to the home network?

Did you delete all the known wifi connections.. in this box?

Use the - at the bottom of the box, after selecting each wifi network name.. once all are deleted .. shut down and reboot the computer and do a discover the wifi again.

No luck, give us a screenshot of the actual settings on wifi you get..

Make sure IPv6 is set to Link-Local only.. not automatic.
