Ipad pro wifi problems after 11.4 update

After updating to 11.4, my ipads wifi connection will stop passing traffic after about 10 minutes of use or so.

Rebooting the ipad, hard reset, and wipe network settings have not fixed the problem.

The only way to get it working again is to reboot my wireless router - and then its the same thing again. ten minutes and everything internet related just stops working. My Iphone X on the same router works fine on the same router at the same time that the ipad isnt.

So, I downgraded the ipad to 10.3.1, and it seems that the same issue is occurring - so it must be tied to some firmware update packaged in 11.4. On top of that, I cant restore any of my apps because it tells me that my ios level is too old.

It also wont allow me to progress without updating it to 11.4.

I've had to reboot my router twice to even let the ipad continue communicating with apples servers to finish setting it up.

Yep... 11.3.1 is gone.... so most of us with this problem can’t roll back. By the way, I had apple to a complete “renew” to brand new status, the reinstalled 11.4 and apps. The problem reoccurred again. I’m completely fed up.

my iPhones seem ok though.

Try put only your ipad pro in router’s wifi network, see if still having issues. Maybe too many devices are on same wifi, don’t know.

Issue is definitely with the recent update ; I have cleared all arp entries from my router.

This is only happening to my iPADs

all other iOS devices are fine, iPhones are fine even after the update

I'm going to downgrade my ipad to 11.3.1. I cannot imaging how apple can release an update that causes a device to become totally unusable.

I was having similar issues with WiFi, only a reboot would fix it. I downgraded to iOS 11.3.1 and all works as it should. Good luck everyone.

I fixed this by downgrading to the last IOS and then reapplying the update. No issues since then.

Solution: Go to

Settings >> General >> Reset >> Reset Network Settings.

After reset network settings, log-in to your Wi-Fi network again.

Just experienced that this solution works only temporarily. After 24 hours the Wi-Fi problem occurs again.

Apple, please solve this problem ASAP with an IOS update.
