QuickTime suddenly recording in AIFC

Hello everyone!

I'm having an issue where QuickTime is suddenly recording audio in AIFC format instead of M4A. It was recording in M4A a week ago, but now for some reason it is recording in AIFC. I noticed this change as soon as I saw that internal audio recording through SoundFlower was as high as 2 MB every 6 seconds. One of my recordings from last week is 1:26 with 3.5 MB. On top of that, there are duplicated recordings of the newer recordings (this week) saved. I didn't change anything.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

I figured it out. Some how in the recording settings, the quality was set to maximum. Switching it back to high quality fixed.
