pixilation of photos

Every time I try to add photos to a project, they become pixilated but only when the video is playing, when its paused, the photos look fine. I am using pictures from my iPhone X, most are just regular and some are portrait. Note: the video I'm making contains videos and photos.

photo stream I have had a long term problem with photo stream. Photos I take on my iPhone do not always show up in my photos app - photo stream - on my MacBook. I've tried all the resets and checkboxes and nothing works to correct this issues. Any advise/tips/help is most appreciated.

Click the little triangle at the top right of the viewer and choose High Quality instead of Better Performance.
