How to set voicemail to autodelete in Verizon Visual Voicemail?

I had Sprint before and I happily used my visual VM for years without ever having to delete anything. Now with verizon my voicemail gets full and I have to manually delete accumulated messages. The Verizon reps have been astonishingly uncomprehending even to understand what the problem is. Apple's site (from which I came here) does not explain how to access settings on a visual vm once it has been set up. So: what do I have to do so I will never have to manually erase voicemail messages on my Verizon account?

Thanks!
