iTunes 12.7 does not support 10.10.5

On Download iTunes 12.7.5 page it says it supports OS 10.10.5 and later but it would not install on my Macbook Pro with 10.10.5

My machine is an early 2011 2.7 Ghz i7

Docs wrong? Issue with my machine?

MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.5), 13 inch early 2011

Make sure you have installed Security Update 2017-003 for Yosemite 10.10.5, available at https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1933

I currently run 10.10.5 and have for a few years. My version of iTunes (12.7.2) always ran great until recently, but now I can't get rid of the popup "Sign in to iTunes Store". This is also happening to a friend of mine who has the same configuration and same computer (iMac mid-2011). It feels like Apple is forcing obsolescence upon our older systems and software. Maybe that's why you can't even install iTunes 12.7 anymore.
