No Summary Tab On iTunes

Hi. I'm a new iPod Nano user, I have the 4GB version. I was able to install iTunes to my computer (I'm using Windows XP as OS), & able to have my iPod recognized by iTunes. But my problem is, the "Summary Tab" on iTunes won't show whenever the iPod is connected.

I'm using a 2nd Gen iPod Nano (I think), & iTunes v 6.XXXX (it's the one that came w/ the CD). Hope somebody can help me soon on this, so I finally get to use my unit. Thanks in advance.
