Bookmarking YouTube video on safari

after bookmarking a YouTube video on safari, the bookmark disappears. Not right away but after a while, like the next day. is this a problem with safari or YouTube settings? And how can I fix it? I do not want to have to search for these videos again and again and I also do not want to watch or bookmark them on the YouTube app.
