IPhone X running hot and x3 faster battery drain after iOS 11.4 update

After updating to iOS 11.4 I have noticed that the battery is now discharging 3x faster than it did under iOS 11.3 and seems to be running hot.

I have let the iPhone re-index after the update and restarted twice since the update, but still seems to be running hot and draining the battery too quickly when nothing is running.

Is anyone else seeing this?

I'm having the exact same issue. After installing ios 11.4 on iphone X. Iphone consistently feels hot in my hand. I've tried restarting the phone, resting all settings, even did a DFU restore with a fresh install of ios 11.4 and the using my icloud back. None of these solved my issue. I can see my phone battery percentage drain in real time and my battery health is 98%.
