Should i change my iPhone battery?

Since the ios 11.3.1 release update for the battery health which is still on beta. Maximum capacity indicated to my bh were at like 77% and it says that my battery is currently supporting normal peak performance. I decided to reset and delete everything. I was surprised that it went up from 77-80%. However, i think last 2 or 3 weeks ago, i notice that i went down to 1% from 80-79%. See pictures below. And it says that my battery is significantly degraded but my battery still supports normal peak performance. Does that mean i should change my battery? Or is it just because this feature is still on beta so its kind of a bit ***** and confusing atm? Oh btw I’m using an iP6splus and i updated to the latest 11.4 software update.Thank you for you answers.

In other threads you have said that the battery health app was not all that accurate. Which is it?

I believe it's the same number that an official Apple diagnostic will yield, which is why I said "pretty accurate". No battery health reading is going to be perfect though, because it's still an estimate based on what's observable.

If I can add my two cents, I wouldn't wait too much to have it replaced, making an appointment at your most convenient Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider: Apple - Find Locations - Location Selector.

(don't forget to make a full backup of your iPhone before the replacement)

When batteries reach the critical point of their life, they often have unpredictable behaviors, so I wouldn't risk to see your battery dying unexpectadly (or being unable to charge).

This is only my opinion, and you're free to decide, of course.

Battery health should be pretty accurate. Apple has been keeping track of battery healthy for a long time, but didn't make it visible to the user in iOS. If it's actually 80% or under, Apple's current plan will allow the user to access the promotional price again before the program expires. It's been reported that the user gets a single opportunity to replace the battery at that price if it's ABOVE 80%.
