iMessage won’t open

I received a TON of photos in a group message and it froze up my phone and now the group message won’t open. iMessage says I have 5 notifications but they won’t go away because the app freezes every time I click on the group chat. I tried opening it on my Mac and it froze there too. Anyone know what to do here?

Message notification received and partially visible in the preview, but conversation is blank. I have recently received a text in a group chat, but when I open the conversation on my iPhone SE there is nothing there. Frustratingly, I can see the beginning of the message in the preview in my messages, but when I tap on it there is no message. The last message was sent from an iPhone user so I am confused why I can see that there is a message, but cannot see anything when I open the conversation. Can someone help me read this message? I have tried closing the app and reopening it, turning iMessage off and back on, and shutting my phone down, but it is still the same. It is also like this on my macbook.

iMessage - images won’t load is anyone else having issues with their images/GIFs loading in messages???? This crap started all of a couple of days. Happening on and off. So irritating!! I’ve turned my phone off and on several times.

imessage app keeps crashing . hey everyone ! my imessage app on my iphone xr works completely fine except for when i press the button at the top right to create a new message . whenever i try and type in a new number or names for a new group chat , the whole app just crashes . i’ve tried powering off my phone and powering it back on and closing and reopening the app and none of it works. if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated !! thank you !!!!
