Apple Watch and ASL

I just got an Apple Watch (Series 3) and have a question regarding the activity tracking program.

I use American Sign Language (ASL) to communicate and I can see that this is throwing off the accuracy of my exercise and move rings. Is there any way I can configure the activity tracker to pause during specific times of the day, or a workaround for those of us who use ASL?

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Apple watch auto pause function i have the option auto pause set for workouts. When i start a walking or cycling workout, everything works well, but when i manually activate pause, the workouts do not restart automatically when moving again, until you push the resume button, sometimes very frustrating if you take a longer pause. Can ‘t the apple watch detect automatically that you are moving again when in a workout session ? i also don ‘t think that auto pause works each time, but maybe i don t understand how it works 😀
