My Iphone 6s is draining the battery at an alarming rate.

Since updating a few days ago Iphone is draining battery really fast for no reason. Have turned off all notifications etc. and still going on. I use my Ipad and it is linked so turned off a lot of things on that too. What is causing this, I have had the Ipad for 3 months and it never caused this before. Help someone, this is ridiculous.

iPhone 6s, iOS 11.4

myphone23,

See this:

1) Have you tried a restart? If not, do it now.

2) See the section "View battery usage information" in the link below to see the apps that are consuming your battery:

Maximizing Battery Life and Lifespan

3) Check "battery health beta":

iPhone Battery and Performance

4) If all else fails, consider a battery replacement:

iPhone Battery & Power Repair

Good luck.

I have the same problem, and when looking at the battery usage my calendar is constantly background refreshing. This seems to continue to happening when I remove all the calendars that are linked. My phone is less than 6 months old, prior to the update I was getting 2 days between charges and at this point I am getting less than 10 hours.

I have done all the troubleshooting steps and removed all the apps I could. I put the 100% battey power iphone 6 in sleep mode and at 7.30 a.m.it was down to about 5%. The iphone has a new battery replaced by an authorised iphone repair shop.

When I checked battery useage, it shows "no cell coverage" as the culprit. The iphone was supposedly "asleep" but still using power to find a connection. I am on ios 11.4.

Thanks Brian, but I have already done that - and more = new battery from authorised Apple dealer 2 weeks ago. No bluetooth or apps refresh. Also only 3 widgets active. The only thing that seems to help a bit is putting the iphone 6 in flight mode when in areas of poor reception (like my home) and then turning on the wifi so I can make/receive VOIP calls via our wifi. So far today the battery lasted 7 hours before needing recharging instead of the 2-3 hours battery time I had yesterday.

Still - not very good. My old Samsung S II lasts 2 days....

I have the same issue. My battery in iPhone 6s draining very fast after last software update. (to 11.4) My friends told me they have the same issue…..

I don’t understand way Apple Support all the time recommend change battery in iPhones 6s ??? My 6s is 1,5 years old. And I have to change battery??? That is ridicules because my very old iPhone 4s (I have them 5 or 6 years) works good and battery is ok.

Apple needs to fix their 11.4 bug.

My Iphone 6s is draining the battery at an alarming rate.
