How to make a custom sf2 sound fonts bank in exs24 ?

I have several folders of sf2 banks in exs24 sampler now , but my favorite sounds are scattered among all the banks ..... I want to make a custom bank of these sf2 sound fonts in one place so I don't have to remember and scroll all over again and again , is there a way to do that , i.e moving a sf2 font from one bank to your own custom bank from within exs24 ?

EXS24 sampler converts soundfonts into which two separate items ? .exs and sf2 ?

if .exs is program/data and not the pure sample does that mean if we carry it elsewhere , there would be no sound in it ?

and since I am seeing most of my sf2 have got converted automatically to .exs , now are those sf2 fonts are not accessible ?

Your last question first: I would imagine they're still in the Sampler Instruments folder you put them in.

The sf2 is converted into program data and audio data (.wav, aiff, caf) See the graphics below.

Root/Library/Application Support/Logic (the EXS Factory Samples contain the audio data,

The PCExsSamples folder is my private collection of converted soundfont .wav data.

Apple uses .wav, .aiff and .caf audio files in their instruments.

The Sampler Instruments folder contains the program data. (you can's see it but there is also a PCExsSamples folder there with the .exs. files of my custom instruments. So... the important folder is the "Sampler Instruments" folder. This is where you would create a custom bank of instruments. I used administrator rights to temporarily enable writing/copying to system folders. However, there is a "Sampler Instruments" in your USER Music/Logic folder that I'm pretty sure you can use. The EXS24 can find the audio files most anywhere. There are some excellent Soundfonts around.

And with banks I just mean folders in which various sf2 files are placed, I can pick those sf2 fonts by writing all the favorite sound fonts by listening to them in exs24 , on a paper and then picking up all those fonts from the folder in sampler instruments folder and then manually placing them in another folder but , is there a way from within exs24 ?

also is there anything like a sf2 bank ? and what is the difference between .exs and SF2 file ?

Not many here are using Soundfonts...

First, an sf2 file contains both the "samples" and the program (data for playback). When the EXS24 sample converts soundfonts it splits the program/data and samples into two separate items. The exs file format is the program/data the EXS24 sampler uses to play the samples.

The EXS24 sample can save individual files, open the sampler and look under the drop down menu.

The folders for the samples and sampler instruments are located in the root folder Library/Application Support/Logic
