macOS High Sierra 10.13.5 gives issues with SSL VPN

Hi,

since my last update (10.13.5) I'm not able to use the SSL VPN (smart VPN - Draytek) anymore.

The connection is made but I cannot connect to any server anymore.

I do receive an correct IP but cannot ping my own ip neither any other in that subnet.

VPN issues on MacBook Pro 2021 14" (M1 Pro chip) I have just purchased the new mac, configured it as new (no backup) and installed all my usual apps. Everything works perfectly well, except my VPN. Whenever I try to connect to a VPN, I cannot access internet. I have tried multiple VPN protocols, multiple VPN apps, and reset the WIFI configuration. Nothing works. I tried using the browser vpn extensions, and finally I can get a working connection, although it does not offer the same advantages of a system-wide VPN. The VPNs I tried are NordVPN and SurfShark, both using M1-compatible versions of the app. I have Intego anti-virus & firewall, I have tried to disable it and test the VPNs, no luck. I tried setting up different DNS addresses, no luck either The whole thing is really weird and I have no idea what is causing the issue. My guess leans toward a problem around the M1 chip, as I cannot think of anything else. I have disabled the new iCloud private relay as a beta as well, in case, as well as the integrated macOS firewall. I am at a loss here. If anyone has an idea, it is much appreciated!

L2TP IPSec VPN failures after upgrade to MacOS Big Sur After upgrading to Big Sur (from up-to-date Caralina) this week I discovered half of my VPN connections to remote sites are no longer working. The error is the "L2TP-VPN server did not respond" .. however pretty sure you get the same error if the shared secret is mis-matched. All VPN connections continue to work as before from Windows 10. Target VPN servers are Draytek Vigor ADSL routers I've tried manually re-created the VPN configuration on the Mac, but no luck. The only thing I can think of is an incompatibility between certain models of Draytek router with BigSur. I've seen people reporting problems with Big Sur beta releases but no fixes. Anyone else with similar? Thanks

VPN IkeV2 Hi, I am trying to create a new vpn connection on my new Macbook pro. And I receive a strange error. I have create a IKEv2 setup and we are using username and password. It is also possible to authenticate with a certificate but i am not using it right now. When I press the connect button. I receive the following error: A unexpecte error occured the console log says: nw_interface_create_with_name(ipsec0) failed -[NWInterface initWithInterfaceName:] nw_interface_create_with_name(ipsec0) failed Now what? Bug?

Secure Socket Layer (SSL) was discovered by researchers to be defective in Spring 2015. It has been being phased out ever since.

We have reached the point now where SSL is not usable.
