MacBook Pro Dock Too Sensitive

The dock on my 2016 13-inch MacBook Pro is too sensitive. In other words, it shows up (the magnification is on) when my cursor moves even within an inch of the bottom of the screen. This is hindering my ability to use applications that require me to use the bottom portion of the screen.

Try going to System Preferences/Dock and either move the Dock to the side of the screen or uncheck Automatically hide and show the Dock.
