How can I turn on Screen Recording?

I've been trying to get screen recording to work since the update came out. I've taken it on and off the control center and nothing. When it is on control center then it's just dark grey and when I click it, it will not turn on or even give me options

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that the screen recording option is grayed out in the Control Center on your iPhone. You've come to the right place! I'm happy to help.

If you haven't already, make sure Screen Recording hasn't been disabled in Restrictions. Go to Settings > General > Restrictions. Look at the very bottom of this page for the Screen Recording option.

If the issue persists, restart your iPhone. Restarting can resolve many unexpected behaviors.
