You are incorect. There are also authorized 3rd party companies that do that.

Nope. You are incorrect. No 3rd parties that you need to pay are authorized to do so, and won't unlock the device from the carrier as much they'll hack it to get it to accept a sim card from a different carrier. These hacks are generally undone by restoring the device, or updating the iOS version, so are pretty worthless.

The only ones that can officially unlock an iPhone are the carriers the iPhones are locked to.

Anything else is just a hack.

The carriers generally do not charge anything to unlock a device as long as you fulfill their requirements.

You are incorect. There are also authorized 3rd party companies that do that. It just you pay them. I did it. $26 to them and they pay off about fifth of what you owe for the phone. This ammount if factory price to providers. I was wondering if I can do it my self, save $26. But thanks, Ii am way ahead of that.

Also, you can use sim unlock. Wich is a by that you inserting with your sim card. This way you only pay for that sim, wich is a few bucks.

Thank You Sir!

The companies that remove cellular provider locks are either selling you a bill of goods (i.e., doing something that gives you temporary access only for you to find that after resetting the device it is locked again - and believe me, this happens regularly), or they are breaking the law. Only the cellular provider can legally remove the lock.

And go ahead - buy a SIM and put it in the device. Good luck activating it.
