No Flickering Red Light When Using Face ID

Hello. I noticed the iphone x i see on videos have flickering red lights on the notch whenever the face id is used. Is it normal if my iphone x does not flicker? Though the face id works it at times fail.

Face id is intermittent Randomly out of the blue the face id of Apple iPhone X stopped working after the iOS 12 update. Apple authorised service centre doesnt have any solution to this issue. Neither they are ready to service the phone to find a permanent solution. As listed in many threads in the community support page this issue is very pragmatic and couldnt be solved just by the software updates.

Face ID is Infrared and not visible to the human eye. So yes, it's completely normal you can't see it do anything.
