Apps that say"GET"

What does that mean? Are the apps in Apple's App that say "GET" mean they are free?? Please answer.

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

It means the app itself is free. It may offer in-App purchases though, or require a subscription for service. Beware of the subscription service free apps as some will require you to sign up for a free trial, but if you do not actively cancel before the trial period ends, they will automatically charge a subscription fee to your account.


E.g. Microsoft Word is a free app. To actually use it with an iPad Pro you will have to get or have an MS Office365 subscription. On iOS devices other than an iPad Pro you can get a free MS account.
