Can I change the direction of 3 finger swipe?

I'm confused about the directionality of the options when you say "Swipe with 3 fingers" vs "Swipe with two or three fingers" for the Swipe between pages option on the trackpad.

Specifically, I would like swiping from left to right to be "back" and right to left to be "forward" similarly to how it works on my iOS device. This seems to work if I use the 2 finger when using the "Swipe with two or three fingers" option or when using 2 finger swipe with the "Scroll left or right with 2 fingers". Trouble is that I really want to do it with three so that it doesn't interfere with horizontal finger left/right scroll.
