Why does my iPhone model start with N instead of M?

I was reading online that all Apple models start with the letter M. However, after going to the Apple store and doing an exchange, the phone they gave me starts with the letter N. Which is something I’ve never seen in all my years of owning Apple products. What is anything is different or significant with the model NQCK2LL/A?
