Logitech iPad case and keyboard

Why are Apple still selling logitech create keyboard cases, knowing that they will scratch the screen of the iPad pro.

And Apple will not do anything (in the UK) to rectify this once its happened.

I have, also, had this Logitech case on my iPad Pro for almost 2 years, now, with no scratches.

However, I purchased this case AFTER hearing about some of the scratched screen issues with case and I just put my normal microfiber cleaning cloth on top of my iPad’s screen before I close up my Logitech Create case to make sure there is a soft barrier between the screen and keyboard.

So,no scratching has happened.

I’ve used a Logitech create keyboard on my large display iPad Pro for 2 years now without a scratch. In fact, I have yet to scratch a single iPhone or iPad display (currently on my 6th iPhone since the original, and my 4th iPad). And I‘ve used a variety of cases, sleeves and keyboard covers with them over the years.

I know people (mostly other folks from work who like me, use their iPad pros daily at work) using the Logitech create keyboard with 12” and 9.7” iPad pros and none of their displays are damaged either.

If you feel the product is fundamentally flawed, you need to convince Apple and Logitech of that. As it is, you’re merely stating an opinion based on your experience.

And it’s nothing that any of the users in this user community forum can help you with.

Great to see everything is rosie in your garden, but there are hundreds of people with the same issue some getting the iPad replaced dependant on your location. Apple support saying stick a bit of felt on after the event is not very high tech. I've never scratched an iPhone currently on my 6th since the original, or my last iPad. There is no need to convince Apple or Logitech its a flawed product, they already know.

I don't know. I don't know that they have even done so as you've provided nothing to prove that has even occurred. And since none of us can know exactly what has happened, perhaps those devices that you've heard were replaced were done so for something completely unrelated to the coincidental fact the owner also had a Logitech Create keyboard.

Rumor and speculation are not facts. I know of no facts that Apple has replaced a device due to damage from a Logitech product. Nor do I know of any facts that Logitech has done anything similar.

Apple, to my knowledge, has never offered any sort of Apple device repair or replacement for damage caused by some other companies accessory product. That would be up to the company that made the accessory under their product warranty.

If there is a flaw with the Logitech Create, Apple would be under no obligation at all to do anything about that anyway - that would be up to Logitech. So I am skeptical that Apple actually replaced any device due to damage proven to be caused by a Logitech product. Why would they even do so? Logitech is a big company and handles its own product's warranty issues.

Really, can you tell me where either company has acknowledged this? If what you say is true, there should be a public statement of that fact from Logitech.

The fact that logitech still makes it, and places like Apple, Bestbuy, Target, Walmart and others still sell it would indicate that Logitech does not see an issue with it.

And since this is a user community forum, arguing about it here accomplishes nothing. If you think Apple or Logitech owes you something, you need to convince them. Whether I or anyone else here agrees or disagrees with you means nothing.
