How to make an icloud account
iPhone X, iOS 11.4
You can set up a new iCloud email address (i.e., an email address ending in iCloud.com) by doing the following:
1. Go to Settings on any iOS device and if the device is signed into an iCloud account, sign it out by scrolling to the bottom of the screen and tapping on Sign Out
2. Once there is no iCloud account signed in, you will see "Sign into your iPhone" at the very top - tap that
3. On the Apple ID screen, tap on "Don't have an Apple ID or forgot it?", then on Create Apple ID
4. Follow the prompts to set up a new iCloud email address.
Once you have put in your valid birth date (you really need to put in your valid birth date - you will need it if you ever have to reset your passcode) and your First & Last Name, you will see a screen that has two options - select the "Get a free iCloud email" option, and then type in the email address you want to try to set up. Be sure to put @iCloud.com at the end of the email address. The initial addresses(s) you select may not be available, so you have to keep trying out ones you would like to use until you find one that is available.
