I know my state laws state that someone cant be recorded without their permission, so i was wondering if Apple has a system in place to let people know they are being recorded, or will I need to let the person know?

Okay, so we decided to test it out, Here is how it goes- The screen Recorder that comes on the phone (mine is a 8 plus) will in fact record face time calls, HOWEVER it will not record any audio from either party AND it DOES NOT NOTIFY THE OTHER USER THAT THEY ARE BEING RECORDED ( all caps to help others find an answer, and because it needs to be addressed) Thanks for the help!
First, I don't believe you can actually screen record a facetime conversation on iPhone. You might be able to find a 3rd party app to do it and yes, you need to let the other party you are recording the call.
What needs to be addressed? If you can't record the audio, you don't need to notify the other party.
In other words, you really can't fully record a Facetime call on iPhone. And you're welcome!
