creating and linking Wordpress.org blog to my iWeb site

I used iWeb to create my website that is hosted on Go Daddy. I would like to start a blog and it was highly recommended that I create the blog on Wordpress.org and then link it to my iWeb site. I am very new at this and could use advice about how to go about it. I use an MacBook running Sierra (10.12.6)

Thanks

You can add a hyperlink to the Navbar in iWeb without adding a page to the site. This tutorial tells you how: iW07 - Add a Link to the Navbar Without Adding a Page to the Site.

On your blog site you'll need to add a hyperlink to your site. I'm not familiar with Wordpress but the html for the link to appear as text would be:

href="url">link text</a>

This would go into the html code of your blog. The components are self explanatory. It would appear like this: Old Toad's Tutorials.

If you are going to add a blog that you have created in Wordpress, why don't you just recreate your whole website in Wordpress?

iWeb is outdated now and has been for several years now. Possibly, after the next OS update, iWeb will not continue to work, so cut your losses now and re-create your whole website in Wordpress and then you have your blog and your website on one application and ditch iWeb.
