These steps are from If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozenOn an iPhone X, iPhone 8, or iPhone 8 Plus: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the recovery-mode screen.
After using these steps, is the screen responding at all? Does it appear to restart then go back to the call end screen? Let us know.
