It is there but difficult to get to. It seems to only work in cells where you have used the menu item Insert/Date & Time.

  1. Click in cell where you want a date
  2. Go to the menu item Insert / Date & Time to insert today's date & time
  3. Click on the date in the cell and a window will pop up that allows you to format the date. It also has the date picker. If you are editing a cell where you previously inserted a date, you will have to click a few times to get to the window to appear. One click to select the cell, another to select the date in the cell, and a third to get the window to appear.
  4. Click on the date picker icon in the window to open the date picker.

You can use the date picker on cells where you used Insert Date & Time (or copy/pasted one) but apparently not on cells where you have typed a date yourself.

Hi Anthony,

Wayne found the solution in Date-picker in Numbers 4.0.5

"OK. so I finally found how to do this. Thanks for the screenshot.

The steps are:

1A) select the cell where you want the date picker

1B) pause, then click a second time OR

1) double click the destination cell

2) select the menu item "Insert > Date & Time"

3) single click the highlighted date in the cell

When the cell is not selected to get the date picker

1) double click the cell and, while the date is highlighted,

2) singled click the date

3) now single click the calendar at the bottom right"

Cordialement,

Ian.

One day I may understand this forum software, but I doubt it. I looked at that link and all I saw was the response that said "I found it". No other posts were there explaining what was found or how to use it. Now I go back and all the posts are there. I miss the forum software from a few years ago that actually worked right and was easy to use and easy to search. I quit posting for a long time because of their adoption of this messed up forum software that seems to be all about looks, not usefulness. Rant over.
