Completed Reminders Won't Delete

I have 16,218 completed reminders and when I try to get rid of them by clicking Clear Completed Reminders on iCloud.com from my Mac nothing happens. Its driving me crazy. It takes forever for my reminders to open on my Mac and I assume this is why. Anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks.

MacBook Air (11-inch, Early 2014), macOS High Sierra (10.13.5)

reminders gone berserk My reminders have taken on a life of their own. One that repeats daily now won't go away. I click complete on my MacBook OS 10.14 and in iOS 12.01. Over and over. The reminder (from yesterday) keeps coming back. Another one-time reminder set for the today comes up twice - duplicates. Recent changes include the OS and both devices and the addition of iCloud Drive on the MacBook. I tried deleting all the "completed" reminders from the MacBook - that caused the App to stall out, spinning beachball of death. Forced quit. then successfully deleted hundreds of completed tasks from Reminders on the iCloud Drive. Restarted both devices, but the problem continues. Suggested fix?

Reminders wont sync My reminders disappeared off of my MacBook Pro. They still exist on my iPhone. Everything else within iCloud is syncing perfectly fine. I have restarted, signed out of iCloud, started in safe mode & ran first aid. They still exist. I just can't get them to show up.

Reminders on Mac NOT showing I got a new MBP 16, latest OS - 12.3.1 Recovered files and apps from Time Machine Reminders will not show on the Mac - they show on iPhone and in iCloud via Safari browser Steps tried so far: 1) Shut down - started in Safe mode, launched reminders app on Mac - reminders not there 1b) Shut down Reminders app 2) Removed reminders files from ~/Library/Containers/Reminders 3) Removed all reminders files from: ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.reminders 4) Logged out of iCloud on Mac 5) Logged back in iCloud - synched Reminders turned on 6) Turned off sync reminders on iCloud, then turned back on 7) Launched Reminders app - reminders from iCloud data still NOT there Now I'm out of ideas Any help is appreciated

Do you use any anti virus , third party applications , softwares in Mac if they are uninstall all of them , create a new user account and test see this article How to test an issue in another user account on your Mac - Apple Support

And don't delete the original user account for the time being .

Well, I was able to delete them. The 0 was so nice to see... and then I came back later and they were all back. 😟

I’m thinking of erasing my Mac and just starting over with a clean install at this point. Getting too frustrated.

That’s what I did... and nothing happened. I know how to delete them but its not working. I need help with the not working thing.
