To check the model number hold down the option/alt key, go to the Apple menu and select System Information.

macOS 10.12/10.13 (Sierra/High Sierra) requires one of the following Macs:

MacBook Pro (Mid 2010 or later) Model 6.2 and higher

As well as:

Mac OS X version 10.7.5 or later High Sierra requires Mac OS version 10.8 or later

2GB of RAM (4GB minimum is more realistic)

9GB of free disk space High Sierra requires 14.3GB of free disk space

While there had been a separate link inside a support article to get slightly older macOS versions

(Sierra, not High Sierra) that access was not a direct link in the Mac App Store.

Depending on exactly what you are looking to get, the path may vary.

Because I'm replying with iPad, none of my support bookmarks are available now.

My Mac has many of those site links, most are valid; unless recently removed by Apple.

Good luck & happy computing! 🙂
